Volvo Cars sold 61,483 cars in June, US sales increased by 4.5% and markets in China (up 14.1%) and Europe continued positive trends. XC model range SUVs are the main drivers for the sales performance, accounted for 71.2% of total sales.
Citing limited number of less than industry-average shutdown of production facilities, Volvo believes the company is well placed to cater to the rapid recovery in demand.
Online initiatives also contributed to the rebound.
