Volvo Cars Reopens Torslanda Manufacturing Plant in Sweden

Volvo Cars plans to restart production at its Torslanda plant in Sweden on 20 April following a temporary closedown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Production volumes at Torslanda will be adjusted to meet demand in the market as well as existing order books.

The company took the decision to reopen following a dialogue with relevant labour unions.

All facilities at the plant have been extensively cleaned, and other protective measures have been put in place.
