Porsche has demonstrated new autonomous driving technologies in Ludwigsburg that apply more AI to reduce the exensive use of sensors and cost less.
In such application, autonomous driving is not pre-programmed, instead, the AI is data-trained, "the only way the multi-faceted, complex system can be realised" according to Porsche.
The test proves the feasibility of autonomous driving in a workshop environment, and is a proof of concept for AI-based autnonomous driving. Expect such technologies first applied in ports, logistics and car parks.
